A reunion could be on the cards for Mick and Linda Carter in EastEnders, with the two set to take a trip to a hotel in upcoming scenes.
Pictures from an on-location shoot reveal Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright, who play Mick and Linda respectively, looking very pally and joyous while in-character.
The landlord and landlady of The Queen Vic boozer are smartly dressed, as they arrive outside a hotel.
But are they back together?
Have the soulmates rekindled their marriage?
Mick and Linda, as viewers know, aren’t together in scenes currently playing out on our screens, after they broke up in the wake of Janine Butcher’s (Charlie Brooks) manipulation.
Mick, meanwhile, has since entered into a relationship with Janine, who has made it her mission to get him away from Linda, using any means necessary.
Linda, who is a recovering alcoholic, was involved in a devastating car crash earlier this year and almost died.
Mick and the rest of the Carters came to believe that she was driving the car while under the influence with baby Annie in the back seat.
In reality, however, Janine was behind the wheel of the vehicle, and she moved Linda into the drivers seat to make it appear as if she was responsible for the collision.
Linda knows Janine is hellbent on keeping her out of Mick’s life, but she has yet to realise that the dastardly schemer was to blame for the car crash.
The landlady returned to work at The Queen Vic earlier this month, but with Mick away on a trip to see Zsa Zsa with Shirley (Linda Henry), she has been left alone with Janine.
But despite the conflict between the two, Linda has been rather enjoying bossing her nemesis around.
Quite frankly, who could blame her?
Mick, meanwhile, will leave the show in some form or another later this year, after actor Danny Dyer announced his departure in January.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk at the British Soap Awards, he dished: ‘We’re still in debate about how I’m gonna leave.
‘We’re negotiating what I think should happen and what the powers that be think should happen’
And, while it was always believed that Mick would not die, it sounds like it may not be as off the table as we think.
‘It may be that we never see Mick again,’ Danny said.
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One, with all of this week’s episodes currently available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
