Peter Andre fights back tears as he pays emotional tribute to son Junior | The Sun

PETER Andre came over all emotional as he paid tribute to his son Junior.

The 17-year-old has followed in his dad's footsteps and become a popstar, and Peter couldn't be prouder, he told us at Jog on to Cancer.


Pete opened up about Junior, his son with ex wife Katie Price, after his epic performance at the star-studded Jog on to Cancer event at Proud Embankment on Wednesday night.

The I'm A Celeb star told The Sun: "I’m proud of Junior. I’m here to guide him and keep him grounded.

"It’s so sweet when people say he’s a mini me.

"He’s my boy. The music is really exciting. We’re doing it bit by bit."

The pair are both now successful musicians in their own right after the release of Junior's single Slide.

The song hit No1 on the iTunes chart and even broke into the Official Charts top 100 at No72.

Meanwhile Peter had a No1 hit with Mysterious Girl which has sold over a million copies in the UK.

Peter has certainly taken Junior under his wing with his charity work too.

He brought Junior along to music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins' O2 Silver Clef Awards 2022 in London.

Peter – who was hosting the arrivals and interviewing some of the celebrity guests – posted with Junior in an Instagram video.

He said: "OK I'm here with my son Junior at the O2 Nordoff Robbins' Silver Clef Awards.

"I'm hosting the blue carpet so I've interviewed some legends already – Peter Gabriel, Jools Holland, Yungblud's on his way. Honestly, it's such an honour."

He then turned to Junior, who was wearing an all-white suit, saying: "And it's your first ever."

The teen replied: "It's my first time and I'm happy I'm doing it with you."

Junior added later: "Can I just say, the atmosphere was magic! It’s such an amazing event and I’m so grateful to have been a part of it today."
