Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) followed in Kathy Beale’s (Gillian Taylforth) footsteps in recent EastEnders episodes…by returning from the dead.
Allow us to explain, in case you missed it this week.
After making an enemy in prison, it looked as though Phil’s life was very close to coming to an end.
With his friends and family under the impression he had been murdered, no one had any idea Phil had taken the deal with DI Keeble to become a police informant so therefore – he was released.
As Sam (Kim Medcalf), Sharon (Letitia Dean) and Kat (Jessie Wallace) arrived at the club, they were all stunned to find Phil sat at the bar.
So, with Phil back in Walford, he’s got a lot of clearing up to do.
We’re not talking about spring cleaning, more metaphorical as Kat, Sharon and Sam have left the Mitchell Empire in a bit of a mess.
As Phil makes a toast to Peggy, Sam fears her brother will realise she’s planned to destroy the entire business.
During a chat with Phil, Kat admits she was about to sign the bar over, but Phil is having none of it and declares he’s back and in control.
Kat realises Phil must have made a deal to be out of prison, but Phil swears her to secrecy for her own safety.
He’s back and already, Phil’s causing a lot of drama – but will he discover the truth about Sam’s plan?
