In a furious rant on TalkTV, presenter Piers Morgan has given a harsh order to Russian president Vladimir Putin after he released a message of tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The British monarch died at the age of 96 in Balmoral on Thursday, but the former Good Morning Britain host clearly felt Putin’s condolences were unwelcome.
TalkTV presenter Morgan called out Putin’s message for King Charles III following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February.
During Thursday’s tribute episode, he said: “You know who just put a statement out, Vladimir Putin extends his condolences to Britain for irreparable loss.
“You know what Putin? You can stick your condolences.”
The Queen died on Thursday afternoon at her favourite residence in Balmoral, Buckingham Palace confirmed.
Millions of people worldwide have sent in their tributes, including world leaders Prime Minister Liz Truss and US President Joe Biden.
When news of the Queen’s death was confirmed, Morgan tweeted: “The greatest Monarch in history, and the greatest of Britons.
“Dignified, humble, wise, stoic, and dedicated to duty and service to the country she loved.
“Thank you for everything, Ma’am. We will be forever indebted to you.”
However, the broadcaster clearly believed Putin’s thoughts weren’t welcome in the wake of his military action against Ukraine this year.
“It’s the loss you’re causing to lives in Ukraine that I’m concerned about,” he continued.
“So stick your condolences where the sun don’t shine.”
In his message to the King, Putin wrote: “[The Queen] rightfully enjoyed the love and respect of her subjects, as well as authority on the world stage.”

“I wish you courage and resilience in the face of this difficult, irreparable loss.
“May I ask you to pass on sincere condolences and support to members of the royal family and the entire people of Great Britain.”
His message has been criticised following the devastating impact Russia’s invasion has had on Ukraine and the rest of the world stage.
Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky has also paid tribute, tweeting: “It is with deep sadness that we learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.”
“On behalf of the people, we extend sincere condolences to the @RoyalFamily, the entire United Kingdom and the Commonwealth over this irreparable loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.”
Last month, the Queen extended her own message of sympathy for the people of Ukraine when she marked the country’s independence day with a moving tribute.
“It gives me great pleasure to send Your Excellency and the people of Ukraine my warmest greetings on the celebration of your Independence Day,” she wrote.
“In this most challenging year, I hope that today will be a time for the Ukrainian people, both in Ukraine and around the world, to celebrate their culture, history and identity. May we look to better times in the future.”
