Since the EastEnders revelation that Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) is actually the son of Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) – and hence the brother of Kheerat (Jaz Singh Deol), Vinny (Shiv Jalota) and Ash (Gurlaine Gaur Karcha) – it’s been like a bomb waiting to go off in the Panesar family.
It seems that it suits Nish to keep Ravi’s identity as his son quiet for now, but Ravi is bound to feel hurt that now that Nish is out of prison he seems focused on mending relationships with his children with Suki (Balvinder Sopal).
In coming episodes Ravi wants everyone to know that Nish is his dad.
After Kheerat and Nish have a confrontation, Kheerat storms off. Meanwhile Nish has collapsed and Ash rushes to tend to her father and calls Nina.
Nina panics when she gets there and finds that Ravi seems to be getting very close to Nish. As her plan is to inherit Ranveer’s money, Ravi could potentially derail the plan if Nish got involved and Nina wants to make sure Ravi keeps the knowledge of Ranveer’s death to himself.
As Jean (Gillian Wright) tries to build bridges in the Panesar family by inviting Nish to a family games night so he can spend time with Kheerat (how much fun does that sound?), Ravi must be feeling that he’s once again being pushed out of the family.
Will he risk sabotaging Nina’s plan by telling Kheerat everything and staking his claim as an official Panesar son?
