She-Hulk: Attorney At Law has smashed its way onto Disney+ for a fun, feisty and fantastic opening to what can only be described as Marvel's best series yet.
Continuing Marvel's expansion of the comic book universe, the phenomenal Tatiana Maslany is perfectly cast as Jennifer Walters, a.k.a She-Hulk, who balances her life as the superhero with being a deputy district attorney.
As soon as Tatiana steps onto the screen as She-Hulk, she becomes an instant favourite and makes the role her own – and I just cannot get enough of her sassy, quick witted character.

So where does she fit into the Marvel Universe? Here's a little overview.
Taking a nod from the comic books after her on-screen colleague Nikki tells her to "hulk out" if an upcoming court case becomes tricky, Jennifer Walters breaks the fourth wall by talking to the viewers and explaining her backstory as She-Hulk – with a little help from a familiar face.
We're then whisked away to months earlier, where Jennifer and her cousin Bruce Banner, also known as The Hulk, are involved in a car accident (no spoilers here as to why) – with Jennifer finding her blood infused with Bruce's.
After she wakes-up in a lab, Bruce tries to help Jennifer control her transformations – leading to a fun, almost eighties film-esque training montage that leaves you grinning from ear to ear.
The series also stays faithful to the comic books, and sees Jennifer travel back home after managing to take control of her powers.
Jameela Jamil makes a powerful impression as a superpowered influencer who busts into the courtroom, only for Jennifer to showcase her superhuman strength – before stepping back into her shoes to finish her closing arguments in court.
It is 37 minutes of thrilling, non-stop brilliance that not only adds Marvel's trademark humour that we have come to expect in recent years, but also the moments that emotionally hit you hard when you least expect it.
Bruce's pause after mentioning Tony Stark's name in the lab Tony built for him is one of its more tender moments – showing that despite years passing between the events of Avengers: End Game, the pain of the past still remains for those left behind – and that Iron Man's legacy still lives on in the next phases of the Marvel universe.

Of course, Mark Ruffalo is nothing short of spectacular once again as Hulk – providing many lighter moments of humour too as he helps his cousin grapple with her new reality.
There's also noticeable talk about Captain America too, with She-Hulk cleverly addressing a mystery surrounding Steve Rogers that fans have been debating online for a while.
Spoiler: Watch the end credits to see the mystery solved by Bruce when he reveals a secret about Captain America.
With nods to Marvel's past, and a spaceship showing up in an ominous nod to the danger that might lie-ahead for Hulk and She-Hulk, I'm already counting down the days until the next episode.
