Rob Burrows in tears during emotional appearance Pride of Britain awards
Rob Burrow was reduced to tears as he made an emotional TV appearance with his daughters over the weekend.
The 41-year-old attended the Pride of Britain Award ceremony on Sunday night with his wife Lindsey and two daughters Maya and Macy.
Viewers will be able to see the former rugby star receive his special recognition award on Thursday evening when it’s televised on ITV.
As Rob was presented the award, he was taken on stage alongside his family who beamed with pride as the audience filled with celebrities who gave the star a standing ovation.
With the crowd erupting into tears, Rob was clearly overwhelmed by the amount of support he received as he was reduced to tears.

Looking out at the audience, the 42-year-old had tears streaming down his face as presenter Carol Vorderman applauded the family on stage.
While accepting the award, Lindsey touched on the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon earlier this year which saw over £1 million pounds collectively raised by runners.
Speaking about taking part, Lindsey said: “I just wanted to do my little bit for the MND community and to try and continue to bang that drum and raise that awareness.
“It was a really special moment and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.”

At the end of the marathon, people watched in awe as Rob’s friend and former teammate Kevin Sinfield carried him over the finish line after pushing him for 26.2 miles in a specially-adapted wheelchair.
Speaking about the touching moment to Sky Sports News, Kevin said: “The plan was to finish arm in arm.
“Unfortunately with Rob’s health and not being able to hold his own body weight, and the toll being in that chair for over four hours took in the heat meant we had to adjust the plan slightly.
“But it was just a really special moment for both of us and it’s a moment we’ll remember forever.”
Sadly, Kevin wasn’t able to attend the Pride of Britain Award ceremony due to the Rugby World Cup in France.
However, Lindsey gave Kevin a special mention on stage when speaking to Carol as she called him a “selfless person”.
While she was accepting the award, her husband continued to look out at the crowd in tears.
The Pride of Britain Awards is available to watch Thursday on ITV at 8pm.
