S Club says Paul would have been ‘annoyed’ if they cancelled the tour
S Club have opened about why they didn’t cancel their upcoming reunion tour following the tragic death of Paul Cattermole saying that he would have been “very annoyed” if they had.
“There was no question we weren’t gonna do it, it’s just changed,” Rachel Stevens explained as the band appeared on BBC Breakfast.
“Obviously, we’ve changed the [name of the] tour to the Good Times tour because that was the name of one of Paul’s songs that he was gonna do.
“So every decision we’ve made has felt just really right in his memory,” she continued. “But there was never a question we weren’t gonna do it.”
Bandmate Jo O’Meara chimed in to clarify: “I think we just needed to pause for a minute, take a minute and work out the best way that we wanted to do it.

“And dedicating this show to Paul was the way forward. Because he was so excited, he was so excited for it. So, he’d have been very annoyed if we hadn’t [done it],” she said.
Noticeable by her absence on the show was original member Hannah Spearritt, who pulled out of the upcoming tour in light of Paul’s death.
The group posted an emotional video back in May to explain why she wouldn’t be appearing in the upcoming shows.
“You’ve probably noticed that there’s only five of us here today, and although Hannah will always be a part of S Club 7, she won’t be joining us on this tour,” Jon Lee said.
“But we wish her all the best for the future. However, the five of us are really excited and geared up to crack on. It’s going to be our tribute to Paul.”
