Sam Chen-Williams (Matthew McGivern) is on a mission to nail Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) in Hollyoaks in a bid to help further girlfriend Zoe Anderson’s (Garcia Brown) career.
The policeman, who normally takes his job very seriously, has resorted to some illegal and questionable measures in a bid to obtain evidence on Warren, who as viewers know all too well, is considered untouchable.
Warren has noticed Sam’s increased presence outside the garage, knowing full well that the copper is up to something, showing little concern as he made fun of him in front of an audience.
Zoe, meanwhile, is getting fed up of Sam, who wants nothing more than to make all her dreams come true, knowing that this promotion she’s chasing would be handed to her on a silver platter if she were to apprehend the eponymous village’s most notorious criminal.
But despite Sam’s good intentions, Zoe has repeatedly told Sam to stay away from Warren, knowing that this could come back to bite her if her superiors were to find out.
Sam, however, has ignored her request, constantly checking up on Warren, leaving Zoe with little choice but to consider ending the relationship.
Knowing that he’s on thin ice with the woman he loves, Sam decided to take action against Warren, who once again wound him up in Friday’s (May 12) first look offering of the Channel 4 soap.
After Ethan Williams (Mathew James Bailey) informed him that Dave (Dominic Power) was using drugs, Sam gave his dad a good telling off before taking the packet with the intention of handing it into the police.
But after giving it some thought, the policeman instead walked into the garage and planted the drugs in the drawers of Warren’s desk, before notifying Zoe that he intends to get her the evidence she needs.
In addition to Warren being a deadly criminal, this vendetta is also personal, with Warren having made Sam’s life a living hell in the past, brutally attacking him outside The Loft for no reason at all last year.

Warren managed to evade justice over the incident in question, and Sam has been unable to make him pay using the proper and legal channels, so perhaps he’s intent on playing the gangster at his own game in a bid to finally make him pay?
Will Sam’s actions come back to bite him? What’s more, how will Zoe react when she finds out what he’s done?
