Sarah in crisis as Adam makes a declaration over the baby's dad in Corrie

Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) cracked under the pressure in Wednesday’s (July 12) edition of Coronation Street as he experienced a panic attack while in court.

As well as dealing with the aftermath of Sarah’s (Tina O’Brien) affair, Adam has also been anticipating the results of her paternity test after she confirmed that she’s pregnant but doesn’t know if Adam or Damon (Ciaran Griffiths) is the father.

Well aware that if Damon is the dad, it would change his relationship with Sarah forever, Adam decided to head off to court and ignore Daniel’s (Rob Mallard) attempt at a conversation.

As he got talking, however, Adam started to sweat, his hands started to shake, he was losing control and didn’t quite know what to do.

It resulted in Adam leaving the court room and having a panic attack. Fortunately, he was calmed down by Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown), who told Sarah about her husband’s struggle.

Back at the flat, Adam started talking to Sarah about what happened in court and why he got so overwhelmed.

Sarah reassured him and said that he didn’t need to worry about the paternity test now, but Adam misunderstood and thought that she was saying it because the results had come back – not because she was just being kind and trying to keep him calm.

As Adam’s mood improved, he headed off to the shop and bumped into Daniel, who was somewhat curious that Sarah didn’t have the results delivered in a letter.

With Adam convinced that the ordeal with Damon is over, we later saw Sarah in Victoria Garden, holding the envelope that had the DNA test inside.

She tore it up and threw it in the bin, so does this mean Sarah is going to lie to her husband again?

Is the baby really Damon’s?
