SAS: Who Dares Wins star quits ’30 minutes’ into filming on first day

Actor John Barrowman has reportedly become one of the fastest stars to pack their bags and leave SAS: Who Dares Wins after calling it a day after just half an hour.

The former Dancing on Ice judge is reported to have left on the first day as filming, reports the Sun.

Barrowman, 56, had started filming in New Zealand along with famous faces including Rachel Johnson, Bianca Gascoigne and Anthony Ogogo.

But a source said: “John’s exit from Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins will go down in the show’s history as the fastest ever.

“They’d all got kitted up in their uniforms and had started filming in New Zealand when he chose to walk out.”

The source said it is an “incredibly mentally and pshyically challenging” television show to take part in. Saying the other stars were shocked when Barrowman left the series.

He is reported to have left “there and then” before heading off to the United Kingdom via the hotel the stars were all quarantining in before filming.

Fans wishing to see Barrowman’s appearance on SAS: Who Dares Wins will have to wait until next year however. The next series of Celebrity SAS, which stars former MP Matt Hancock, is due to air on Channel 4 later this autumn.

Celebrity SAS sees stars put through the paces by instructors Billy Billingham, Jason Fox, Rudy Reyes, and Chris Oliver.
