Selling the OC might have finished filming but Jason Oppenheim has revealed some of the cast are still at loggerheads.
The Selling Sunset spin-off landed on Netflix last month, introducing us to some of the flashiest homes on the market in Orange County – and the people hired to sell them.
Discussing the goings-on at the new Oppenheim Group offices, the 45-year-old admitted that there is still a lot of tension between his employees, which can make it hard to bond as a team.
‘Some of them really don’t like each other,’ he revealed. ‘It’s on and off camera. I spend a lot of time with those guys and girls [and] they have real issues.
‘Sometimes, like, they won’t all show up to a dinner.
‘They just legitimately won’t hang out with one another sometimes.’
Jason confessed that, while this ‘probably makes for good TV’, it can be frustrating being the boss as he’d rather they all get along.
‘Thankfully, I have no interest in taking sides. I look at it and I enjoy this show like everyone else, but no, I definitely don’t take sides,’ he added to Us Weekly. ‘I try to balance things and not take sides, but you know, sometimes there are better arguments than others. And I think sometimes people go too far.’
However, he stopped short of naming any names…
Netflix bosses have not yet shed light on whether we’ll get a second series of Selling the OC, and when we could possibly expect new episodes, but there will be no shortage of drama between the brokers.
In fact, it was recently revealed that agent Tyler Stanaland and Brittany Snow ended their marriage, just weeks after season one premiered.
The former couple were married for two years before announcing their separation on Instagram, posting similar statements on their separate pages.
‘After time and consideration, Britt and I have made the difficult decision to separate,’ the message shared on the real estate agent’s account read. ‘This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another.
‘We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives.
‘We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie.
‘We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.’
In the wake of their split, the former professional surfer was linked to co-star Alex Hall, after pictures emerged of the pair looking close.
However, sources close to Tyler insisted that there is nothing more than friendship between them.
‘Although Tyler and Alex spend time together and are very flirty, they aren’t a couple,’ an insider told Entertainment Tonight.
‘Tyler is going through a breakup and isn’t focused on dating right now. Alex has been a good friend to Tyler.
‘He’s been upset with everything that’s happened with his marriage and he’s leaning on friends like Alex to help him during this time.’
Selling the OC is available to stream on Netflix now.
