Serious fears for Lily, 12, as older man targets her in Eastenders

12-year-old Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) has not given her mum, Stacey (Lacey Turner), an easy year so far in EastEnders.

On New Year’s Day, it was discovered that the pre-teen was pregnant, leaving Stacey in a state of complete shock.

She has since caused worry with her determination to drop out of school and go to work instead, in order to provide for the family, who have been struggling under the cost of living crisis.

In upcoming episodes, Stacey’s concerns will grow when Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis), Freddie Slater’s (Bobby Brazier) old teacher, presents Lily with a new pair of trainers, despite Stacey previously insisting that she couldn’t have them.

Theo explains that they are from his mate who owns a sports shop, though Stacey is still adamant that she isn’t allowed them, as it would be unfair on the other kids.

Despite her warning, Theo gives Lily the trainers anyway, and she is soon showing them off to her school friends.

However, Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) becomes suspicious, warning Lily to be careful that Theo doesn’t have an ulterior motive.

Later, Lily asks Theo directly about his intentions, and he soon puts her mind at ease, closing her fears down quickly.

Still worried for her friend’s safety, Amy turns to Stacey, talking about the older man who bought Lily trainers.

Stacey is furious and confronts her daughter, though Lily offers her an innocent explanation.

When Stacey goes head to head with Theo over the trainers, tensions between them are high.

Should Stacey be worried for her daughter, and what are Theo’s intentions?
