AFTER his latest prison stint, Alex Moore insisted he wanted to get his life together but proved his intentions weren't completely honest.
This week in Emmerdale, as multiple secrets unravel, the villain is left with his life hanging in the balance. Get the lowdown.
1. Kidnap plan exposed
As ITV viewers will remember, Alex Moore (played by Liam Boyle) has been causing trouble to his former partner Dawn for several months, from trying to kidnap their son Lucas to framing her for drug dealing.
However, he appeared ready to put the past behind him once and for all when he struck up a romance with Naomi Walters (Karene Peter).
It soon emerged this was a lie as he's been keen to get his hands on some drugs.
Yet Alex seems to have remembered one lesson that was beaten into him in October, 2022, by Kim Tate and her husband Will Taylor.

The truth catches up with Dawn Fletcher this week.

But he's shocked to find the cabinet empty and concocts a plan B, urging Clare not to give up on him.
Meanwhile, Manpreet Sharma and Naomi Walters (respectively played by Rebecca Sarker and Karene Peter) both try to bolster him into fighting for access to his kids.
Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) also attempts to convince him to fight for his kids but he's horrified to learn that Kim Tate and Will Taylor kidnapped and threatened him over the matter.
Charles, who was initially cautious around Alex, heads to Home Farm to confront the couple, which leads to Dawn finding out what they've done and she hopes their actions won't backfire on her case.
How will she react?
2. Villain left for dead
Despite Charles taking a stand for him, Alex goes through with his plan, showing where his priorities are, and the consequences could be dire for him.
Secretly, Alex plots out his plan to rob the pharmacy delivery van and impersonates Dr Liam Cavanagh to find out when the van will arrive.
Dawn and Billy soon attend a court hearing to determine if they can ever get custody and adoption of both Lucas and Clemmie.
Naomi tries to encourage Alex to go to court and, later on, he sits at a junction in his car but it's unclear which direction he will choose.
While in court, the judges states that the only way Alex could have his kids is if he was to arrive to announce his desire.
Dawn and Billy are at the edge of their seats but, unbeknownst to them, Alex is too busy wrenching open the doors of the pharmacy van and stealing all the drugs.
Charles is proven right about Alex back in the village as he discovers the drugs in his car.
Alex makes a run for it but the incensed vicar gives chase and manages to tackle him.
He then reveals he'd had a plan all along, leaving Charles broken to realise that Alex has been playing them and his daughter Naomi the whole time.
Charles tries to call the police but Alex smashes his phone and makes off with the drugs.
Frustrated by Naomi's reaction to what he tells her, Charles grabs his keys and heads out for a drive.
Alex is found on the side of a road and on the phone to Clare but he hangs up and steps out into the road, only to be hut by a passing car.
He lies lifeless on the road while a figure walks towards him before quickly turning back and running away.
Could it be Charles?
Will Alex survive?
3. Baby rushed to hospital
Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) has been blackmailing his cousin Noah, pretending to take an interest in his own daughter Esther in order to get wealthy.
But the troubled lad gets a big reality check when the baby is rushed to hospital this week.
In recent months, he has been adamant on living his life despite being a father and treated baby Esther as a nuisance.
Samson then found a way to make a huge profit by using her to trigger Noah Dingle's (Jack Downham) insecurities, unbeknownst to Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) who believes he's finally warming up to their baby.
Coming up, Amelia is pleased to see Samson take more of an interest in Esther.
Unfortunately, while he's babysitting, Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) notices Esther has a burning temperature.
Panicked, the pair call an ambulance to take her to hospital and Samson is praised by Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) for his fast reaction to Esther's predicament.
Will the baby recover?
4. Samson made homeless
Later on, Noah hates the praise Samson is getting for "saving" baby Esther as he knows all about his true intentions.
Samson makes the most of the situation and arrives under false pretences to check on Esther – but he soon demands more money from Noah to stay out of Amelia and Esther’s lives.
Scared his rival may successfully take his place, Noah pays off Samson via bank transfer.
As soon as Samson receives Noah’s money he revokes his desire to spend time with Esther and Amelia is devastated by Samson’s change of heart.
She worries she won’t be able to afford Esther’s childcare and thinks Noah could help pay for it with his inheritance.
However, she’s disgusted by Noah’s reaction when he implies that she only uses him as a cash machine.
Amelia storms off but Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) questions her son after seeing his reaction.
The Woolpack landlady eventually gets to the bottom of the problem and finds out Noah's inheritance has gone as he has been blackmailed by Samson for weeks on end.
Samson is later confronted from all angles by his angry friends and family and as the confrontation comes to a climax.
The troublemaker tries to wriggle himself off the hook but he’s shaken when his father Sam (James Hooton) orders him to find somewhere else to live.
Who will he be able to rely on?
