IT was the biggest TV show of the Noughties, and invented reality TV as it is today.
And Big Brother is finally returning to our screens for the first time since 2018 – having pretty much died a death by that point, after its move to Channel 5 from Channel 4 seven years earlier.
Some of the biggest stars from the show – which involved a group of strangers living together for around two months – are rumoured to be coming back for the return of Big Brother, when it airs on ITV2 later this year.
And many have changed dramatically since Davina McCall welcomed them into the house.
Chanelle Hayes
Chanelle Hayes has struggled with her weight ever since she was on Big Brother in 2007.
After ballooning to 17st, she had a gastric sleeve op in August 2020, and shed an incredible 10st.

The nurse said she “feels a million times better” since the sleeve surgery, but said she wants a tummy tuck because she is worried about the loose skin.
“I’m 8st now and a dress size 6-8. Last summer, I was around 9st 5lb and before having the sleeve fitted, I was a size 22 and 17st 4lb," she told OK! magazine.
And last month, in an emotional post, she admitted she still struggles to stop herself from binging on food, and opened up about the challenges of living with an eating disorder.
Makosi Musambasi
Makosi Musambasi was one of Big Brother 6's stand-out stars, with her and Anthony Hutton's hot tub romp one of the steamiest in the show's history.

It also led to one of its most iconic moments, as she told producers she may be pregnant in the Diary Room.
Makosi, originally from Zimbabwe, was working as a nurse in the UK when she entered the show.
She now enjoys a huge TV career in Dubai, where she has her own daytime show, Makosi Today, and works as a life coach and public speaker.
Anthony Hutton
Makosi's hot tub partner Anthony has barely aged a day since winning the 2005 series.
However, he has ditched the designer stubble for a full-grown beard, and longer locks.
While he was a ladies’ man on the show, he’s much more settled now, married to his wife Sophie and father to their son Cruz, who turns two next month.
Anthony was a trainee barber when he entered Big Brother, living with his parents in County Durham.
He’s now the owner of Mr Hutton’s Barbers and Bar, where he’s been teaching trainee barbers and giving customers cocktails since 2016.
Glyn Wise
Glyn Wise was just 18 years old when he came second to Pete Bennett on Big Brother in 2006.
The former lifeguard, from Wales, was famous for learning to cook an egg for the first time as well as accidentally dying his hair ginger, and speaking to housemate Imogen Thomas in Welsh.
Perhaps one of the biggest transformations over the years, Glyn has gone bald. He is training to be ordained as a priest for the Church of Wales, eventually to be known as Father Glyn.
He told heat: “When I went on Big Brother, being Christian wasn’t considered very cool, but I’d be praying in bed under the covers. There’s a good quote in the Bible, ‘Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you.’
“I believe I prayed my way into the house. And now it all feels like a jigsaw puzzle coming together, like it was all leading me to this moment.”
Jason Cowan
Jason Cowan famously entered the 2004 house in just a pair of tiny leopard print Speedos and a bow tie, showing off his six pack.
The former air steward – who came second to Nadia – now works as a personal trainer, and looks very different.
The Scotsman has since ditched his blonde locks for a bald 'do – and is notably much more conservative with his wardrobe choices.
Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace
Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace was just one of many iconic housemates from series seven of Big Brother, winning fans over with phrases like: "You better know yourself, little girl".
Since finding fame, Aisleyne’s career has gone from strength to strength, and she’s completely overhauled her look.
In 2021, she had a Brazilian bum lift in a bid to boost her OnlyFans content, having put on a stone and a half to get the procedure done.
And it worked, as Aisleyne revealed she made so much money on OnlyFans she was able to buy a house in just over a month.
In 2021, she opened up about her property portfolio while posting a photo holding a key.
She wrote: “From homeless to owning multiple properties. From daydreamer to dream maker. Just got my keys for a property I just bought which I haven't even viewed. So when they call me names, I smile sweetly and say…. OK!”
Josie Gibson
Big Brother fans loved Josie Gibson so much that she won the 2010 series of the show – the last ever to air on Channel 4.
She now helps to host This Morning, alongside Holly Willoughby, having stepped up since Phillip Schofield departed earlier this year.
The TV personality struggled with her weight after winning Big Brother.
Following the show, she dropped from a size 20 to a size eight and went on to release a weight loss book and DVD.
Then, in 2016, she documented her tummy tuck, which removed the 6lbs and 13ins of excess skin left over.
Josie soon became pregnant with her son Reggie, and gradually gained four and a half stone, before up to a size 16 in lockdown, due to stress.
In 2021, she went on a healthy eating diet, and has lost weight since then, and maintained it.
Alison Hammond
Alison Hammond was the second person voted out in the third series of Big Brother, but is one of the biggest stars, now presenting This Morning with Dermot O’Leary.
She has stunned viewers after shedding two stone over the past few years.
The Brummie mum-of-one told how she managed it by removing sugar from her diet after tipping the scales at 20st at her largest.
Alison had previously been fitted with a gastric band in 2006 but her body rejected it.
"Embarrassed" by her weight, in 2019 Alison was unveiled as the latest Weight Watchers – now known as WW – ambassador and has been slowly losing weight since.
The star has also started wearing brighter, bolder colours and more figure-hugging clothes, moving away from her trademark long cardigans.
Kate Lawler
Series three winner Kate Lawler is still best pals with Alison, and is also a successful radio presenter.
After six years of hosting on Virgin Radio, she left in March 2022 to spend more time with her family.
Having been very much a ladette back in her series, often seen in football T-shirts, she’s much more glam these days, dressing up for red carpet events.
The fitness enthusiast also had a nose job in 2012, and has rock hard abs.
Nadia Almada
Nadia Almada was Big Brother’s first ever transgender housemate in 2004 – and eventually won the show, thanks to her big personality.
She recently was seen looking very different, with straight, blonde hair as opposed to her famous dark curls.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, she recently revealed she splashed all her cash after winning the show.
And, thanks to a pep talk from her mum, she's now working in thehair and beauty business.
She said: "I created for myself a path, and gave myself a job. It's hard after all of that recognition, and still to this day I have that, I still have clients that recognise me and appreciate me and are all very kind.
"There was a little bit of ego, and then when I stripped that back; 'let's not job shame anyone, this is what you're gonna do', and I'm very proud of it because it allowed me to work with great people, represent a great British institution in hairdressing."
Lisa Appleton
Lisa Appleton was famous for entering the Big Brother house with her then-boyfriend – who she went on to marry – Mario Marconi in 2008.
While she and Mario are no longer together, former bodybuilder Lisa has courted the limelight ever since.
And her looks have changed drastically over the years, having spent well over £24,000 on surgery – including getting her boobs done and lipo on her face.
In 2018, she jetted to Turkey to go under the knife, despite being warned off any further procedures, and forked out £1,200 on a face and eye lift, as well as liposuction on her chin, neck and stomach, in a bid to remove her double chin.
She had over a pint of blood and fat removed from her tummy and chin as she continues her quest for the perfect figure.
Doctors in the UK refused to do the surgery because it was just 18 months after she had her lower face lift, so she stopped off in Turkey after visiting her daughter in Canada.

Speaking about her decision to go under the knife again at the time, she told us: “I feel like I've been hit by a bulldozer. I am extremely swollen and sore and I think my wounds are infected in my quest to look young and my best for 50."
However, the star was regretting her decision to have the invasive procedures because she was struggling to talk and close her eyes.
