This morning, the second official trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse hit the internet, showing off more of the plot for the highly anticipated sequel. The movie, which hits cinemas in June this year, has just revealed that Miles Morales is not only going up against a new major bad guy in the picture but also every other Spider-Man across the Spider-Verse.

The new Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer specifically introduces Miguel O’Hara, the Spider-Man from the year 2099.
A comment from fan-favourite Peter B Parker reveals that Miguel is the Spider-person who arranged the Spider-Verse in the first place, connecting all of the different realities. However, it seems as if Miles has somehow done something heinously wrong because the end of the trailer shows the entire force of the Spider-Verse chasing Miles through the cosmos.
This sequel is the first half of a two-part film series. Part two, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is due to hit cinemas next year, in March 2024.
Even more exciting, is that the next instalment in the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse series is rumoured to have a live-action version of the hero in it.
Not just any live-action version, though, the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Spider-Man: Tom Holland.
Film critic Jeff Sneider said on The Hot Mic podcast: “I’d heard that part of the delay of was about getting Tom Holland in that movie, and that one of the dimensions that Miles could end up going to is a live-action dimension with Tom Holland.”
While nothing has been confirmed just yet, this would be an incredible addition to the ongoing animated series.
