Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) was recently rocked by the news that wife Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) had been having an affair with local Coronation Street bad boy Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths).
Things only got more complicated when Sarah fell pregnant, with the possibility that Damon may be the father.
After Adam suffered a panic attack in court, Sarah tried to reassure him , but he mistook her assurances that he had nothing to worry about as confirmation that he was the father.
Though Sarah didn’t know herself who the baby’s father was, she allowed him to believe what he wanted.
However, in upcoming scenes Adam is set to doubt her, and confides in Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) about his concerns.
He reveals that the sonographer suggested getting blood tests done to check for any genetic disorders, but he and mother in law Gail Platt (Helen Worth) both assured her that there were no issues in their families.
However, he could sense Sarah’s unease about the situation and has been left wondering if there is something she isn’t telling him.
As Daniel points out that she may just be worried about something in her family tree, Adam wonders if it’s the real dad she is concerned about.
When Adam explains that asking her would cause her to go off on one about him not trusting her, Daniel points out that he obviously doesn’t trust her.
He urges Adam to either talk to her, or call it quits for both their sakes.
Will Adam brace the subject with Sarah, or take Daniel’s advice and dump her?
