It looks as though we’re a step closer to Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) and Chas Dingle’s (Lucy Pargeter) affair being revealed to the entire Emmerdale village as tonight, Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) spotted them kissing.
One of the main reasons why Chas has continued to see Al is the distraction. Betraying Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and spending time with her brother’s enemy is something Chas would much rather do as opposed to facing up to reality and the fact her mum doesn’t have long left.
Struggling after a meeting with Faith (Sally Dexter) and her palliative care nurse, Chas joined Al for an afternoon at a posh hotel.
When Chas told Al that she doesn’t feel stressed when she’s with him, he promised they could continue seeing each other as it helps her.
*Sigh*
As they left, Chas and Al shared a quick kiss and then parted ways, knowing they needed to return to the Dales separately to prevent suspicions rising.
Unfortunately for them – but fortunately for us – Belle had seen them together.
Belle was at the hotel attending an event, leaving an oblivious Al and Chas to behave like a couple right in front of her.
With the anniversary fast approaching, this is a huge moment – but who will Belle tell first?
Furious at business partner Al and Chas’ betrayal, could Belle turn to Cain (Jeff Hordley), who will no doubt plan deadly revenge against his enemy?
A few weeks ago, we revealed actor Michael Wildman will star in a winter panto of Aladdin, which adds to speculation he will soon depart the soap as it is not known for ITV soap stars to perform in panto while filming with the shows.
Discussing this storyline, show boss Kate Brooks recently told us: ‘Soaps are naturally inclined to do affair storylines as they give you danger, they give you passion, they give you excitement, they give you broken hearts.
‘So when we were looking at who to play out the next big affair storyline with, it just felt right that it was going to be Chas with Al, given all their history and Al was very much firmly against the Dingles.’
‘All affairs must be exposed at some point and if that happens, what will that do to Kerry?’
