Dawn (Olivia Bromley) makes a spur-of-the-moment decision that could have long-lasting consequences in upcoming Emmerdale episodes when she rescues a child from a dangerous situation.
At the funeral of her best friend Beth, Dawn falls into conversation with another friend, Jade, and the two go back to Jade’s house.
Dawn is shocked to find a child called Clemmie staying at Jade’s. Clemmie is the daughter of Beth and she hasn’t even been told her mum has died. Dawn is even more concerned when Jade starts taking drugs, and a dangerous man appears at the house. It’s clearly an unsafe place for the little girl to be, and Dawn offers to take her home with her.
Things soon turn nasty and Clemmie seems to be looking to Dawn for support. She makes a quick decision and hurriedly leaves with the little girl and returns to the village.
Billy (Jay Kontzle) tells Dawn she should call social services as soon as possible, but Dawn worries him by refusing. He agrees that the child can stay for one night and hopes he can convince Dawn to call social services the next day.
Will she agree?
