Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) lost their baby in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale.
We opened the instalment with Mackenzie looking after Moses in the playground, and he was being a very good father figure.
When Moira (Natalie J Robb) approached, she pointed it out as well, somewhat surprised her brother had taken to looking after Moses so easily.
Sadly, the happiness for Mackenzie did not last long, as he returned home to find Charity on the floor in agony.
Heading to hospital, Charity knew deep down what was happening, but a doctor confirmed that her pregnancy is ectopic.
A little naïve, Mack didn’t quite understand, so the doctor and Charity had to explain that while the pregnancy is live, it isn’t viable, so if things progressed – Charity’s health would be put at risk.
As things were put in place to naturally end Charity’s pregnancy, it was clear Mack’s strength was only a façade.
Back in the village, as Charity rested, Mackenzie told Moira the devastating news.
When he returned home, Mack sat down with Charity and thought they’d talk about what happened, but Charity stood up and decided to make some dinner for them both.
Mackenzie was confused, he wanted to talk with his partner about losing their baby – but she didn’t.
If the couple are unable to address their emotions and move forward together, what does this mean for their relationship?
