Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) is the epitome of a jealous husband, having served 20 years in prison for murdering a man he viewed as a threat to his relationship, even before his first EastEnders appearance.
It seems he may be set to return to his old ways in upcoming episodes, as his grip over wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) tightens. But will he resort to murder once more?
Nish is eager to renew his vows with Suki, so much so that he re-arranges their blessing ceremony by bringing it forward, despite Suki’s insistence that it is too short notice.
Later on, Suki calls Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) over to repair a broken tap. Stressed out by the upcoming nuptials, Suki and Mitch strike up a conversation about the difficulties of family life.
A softened Suki then offers Mitch a permanent job as a handy man for the Panesar’s tenants and a chuffed Mitch leaves.
Unaware of what has happened inside the house, a seething Nish watches Mitch from across the square, obviously thinking the worst.
It isn’t long before the truth is revealed, however, as Mitch accidentally lets slip that he has been helping Suki with her tenants, leading Nish to make an ominous phone call…
Later, Suki overhears Nish discussing Mitch with Ravi (Aaron Thiara), though their conversation soon boils into a full row.
What has been said that has caused such a furious argument?
Is Mitch in danger of facing the wrath of murderous Nish?
Viewers will know that, while Mitch poses no threat, Nish is right to be worried that his wife’s eyes may be drawn elsewhere, as ex-lover Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) continues to make attempts at winning her back.
Will Nish succeed in keeping Suki all to himself, or will he be forced to take drastic action?
