Matt Goss and his professional partner Nadiya Bychkova danced the Viennese Walz to a song from Top Gun: Maverick during the latest instalment of Strictly Come Dancing. While the judges were focusing on the Bros singer’s footwork, BBC One viewers could not take their eyes off of his trousers.
Matt, 54, and Nadiya wore beige aviation-themed attire as they performed a Top Gun-inspired Viennese Walz on the ballroom dance floor.
Ukrainian beauty Nadiya, 33, tied her blonde hair in a low bun and her dress resembled a pilot’s uniform with medals sewn onto her left breast pocket.
Matt also donned a cabin crew-inspired outfit, but his tight beige trousers distracted viewers at home.
Millie tweeted: “Can the costume department please sort out Matt’s trousers out #Strictly?”
@MsMeesyTheMinx added: “Laboured and stiff and that’s just Matt’s trousers. If Shirley scores this highly I’ll know why. #StrictlyComeDancing.”
Erin Moore said: “Took three weeks but they finally got some trousers that fit Matt Goss #StrictlyComeDancing.”
Marcela penned: “Third week in a row and the wardrobe department is still taking the p**s with Matt’s trousers #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.”
Alicia commented: “Put #Matt in black trousers please #Strictly.”
Rob Harris wrote: “I’m coming to the conclusion that the wardrobe staff are having a sweepstake on what size trousers they can get Matt into before they rip on live tv. #Strictly.”
Following Matt’s dance on Saturday, presenter Tess Daly asked the judges whether he had “bounced back” from being in the bottom two last week.
Anton du Beke replied: “Massively, I thought that was a huge improvement.
“I mean, your first week, you came out and did the Quickstep which I thought was not too bad, but you were gapping all over the place.

“This week, you didn’t gap at all, you had a lovely body line – but it’s still a little bit loose.”
When Matt and Nadiya spoke with host Claudia Winkleman after the judges’ comments, he said he put his heart and soul into the performance.
“The dance felt beautiful within me and I am thankful for the judges but I think this is the first time it felt beautiful inside me,” Matt explained.
Nadiya said: “He really had to dig deep this week and he did – it’s a very emotional dance, especially for him and he took it very personally.
“He had to think about the technique, the frame and everything and I am so proud of you, well done.”
The pair received a total score of 21 for their performance which they both appeared pleased with.
Matt narrowly missed out on being sent home last week when he was in the bottom two with Loose Women star Kaye Adams, but the latter was eliminated.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays at 6.30pm on BBC One.
