Strictly fans work out Matt Goss downfall as he leaves show with pro partner Nadiya

Strictly Come Dancing fans claim to have worked out Matt Goss' downfall on the show, after he became the third celebrity to be eliminated from the BBC One competition.

The Bros singer, 54, found himself in the dance-off with former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh on tonight's show and after the judges opted to save her and Graziano Di Prima, Matt was sent home with his pro partner Nadiya Bychkova.

Many viewers took to Twitter to voice their opinions on the show, with some even wondering if Matt's "ill-fitting" trousers played a role in his downfall.

"Matt might have done a bit better if they hadn't dressed him in ill-fitting trousers every week," one Strictly fan tweeted.

Many had noticed that Matt's trousers didn't appear to fit properly during each week on the show, with some viewers even criticising the costume department.

"They really need to get matt goss some better fitting trousers…," one person tweeted.

Another fan said: "Would Wardrobe please provide Matt with some properly fitting trousers?"

"Can the costume department please sort out Matt’s trousers out?" a third Strictly Come Dancing viewer wrote on social media.

For week four, Matt and Nadiya performed the jive to All Shook Up by Paul McCartney and while it proved to be one of the singer's better dances, he found himself in the bottom two following the public vote.

The duo faced Kym and Graziano, who danced the Samba to Volare by Gypsy Kings, in the dance off and all four judges – Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse – all chose to save Kym and Graziano rather than Matt and Nadiya.

Both couples were met with huge praise from the judges however, who said they'd both performed well.

Craig commented: “I think both couples went up a major notch – I mean, Matt, you went fantastically mad in that, I loved it, and Kym, you were really great in that. But the couple I would like to save is Kym and Graziano.”

Anton said: “I would just like to say you should both be thrilled with the way you performed in the dance-off, it’s the most high-pressured of situations.

“Matt – that’s your best performance of the whole series, you should be really proud of yourself. But the couple with the higher technical ability, I think for me, going through is Kym and Graziano.”

Motsi agreed, saying: “From that dance-off only, I have decided to save Kym and Graziano.”
