James and Ola Jordan have shared the details of their terrifying hospital dash with their three-year-old daughter, Ella.
The Strictly Come Dancing pro couple took to Instagram to reveal that their toddler came down with an "extremely high temperature" that doctors initially put down to a viral infection.
Over the next two days, James recalled that they treated Ella with Calpol and then Ibuprofen two hours apart as instructed, but the three year old's temperature was "staying around 39 – 40." Plus, that she was "throwing up several times in her sleep."
However, after taking their daughter back to A&E after her temperature failed to lower, James shared that Ella was "sent straight to X Ray" and "almost immediately" had her bloods taken by a "totally amazing team of nurses."
"The results came back as her having a chest infection and tonsillitis. They have now had to put her on an IV for the antibiotics because she's been ill for so long and now very ill," the 45 year old continued.
During the emotional update, which he shared with his 261K followers, James addressed fellow parents everywhere to let them know it's okay to keep pushing for answers if you think something is wrong.
"Go with your gut parents. We knew it was something more serious. I'm just angry with myself I didn't push harder," he said.
James then commended the "sheer brilliance" from the "wonderful team of people" who treated his and Ola's young daughter, before concluding post with: "I will do anything for my baby girl."
After learning that Ella – who James dubbed his "little warrior" – was on the mend, plenty of fans and celebrity friends took to his Instagram comments to wish the three year old well.
"Thinking of you all. Hope she's back to tip top soon," Peter Andre typed, while Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid said: "So glad you went back – hope your gorgeous girl gets back to full health very soon."
Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing fans also came to support James and Ola, with one user penning: "Aww poor little Ella, glad your little warrior is on the mend. Feel better soon Ella."
"Hope her recovery will be a speedy one now she has the right treatment," a second said, as James personally thanked everyone for their well wishes.
"THANK YOU EVERYONE SO MUCH FOR ALL THE LOVE FOR OUR ELLA – we have told her how many of you have sent you wishes."
