Molly Rainford on why she can’t back Bobby Brazier to win Strictly
Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Molly Rainford has snubbed her EastEnders co-star Bobby Brazier after admitting she wasn’t supporting him to win the 2023 contest.
Molly, who was paired with Carlos Gu last year, told Lorraine Kelly that she was on “Team Gu”.
Lorraine began: “Obviously, you work with Bobby Brazier, of course you do and he is in Strictly, but your heart is in another place.”
Molly sheepishly replied: “I mean, obviously, I’ve got to support the cast mates, but I am Team Gu forever now.”
“Of course you are,” Lorraine agreed. “Because you danced with him.”

The soap star went on: “I kind of feel like his partner is my partner.”
For the 2023 series of Strictly, professional dancer Carlos is paired up with Angela Scanlon.
“Is it weird seeing him dance with somebody else?” the ITV host asked.
“It is, but I am so excited actually,” Molly admitted before adding: “But I am so excited to see what they do together.”
