Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly has dismissed rumours of a secret romance between Ellie Leach and her pro Vito Coppola.
For weeks, fans have been convinced things were hotting up between the couple and have eagerly been spotting potential clues that the pair were in a romantic entanglement with each other away from the dance floor. But BBC show host Tess says the real dynamic between the two is very different to that of a romantic nature.
Pouring cold water on all the fan theories, straight talking Tess likened Ellie and Vito's closeness to that of a "brother and sister". Giving her different take on it, the former model compared the pair to siblings while appearing on BBC's It Takes Two.

This interesting revelation came during an interview with the show's presenter Fleur East about the upcoming final, which is just two weeks away. The Coronation Street star and her dance partner have been wowing viewers with their dazzling performances on the BBC dance floor and eagle-eyed fans believe they've spotted signs of a blossoming relationship.
But despite the pair's sizzling chemistry, leading some fans to speculate about a possible romance, both stars have only ever shared words of support for each other. And Tess Daly brushed off on Strictly Come Dancing fan theories.
Fleur began matters by asking about the close bonds formed among this year's cast, to which Tess shared her wry observations giving a different view. "They genuinely are just like a family, aren't they?" she said.
"Ellie and Vito are like brother and sister, Bobby and Dianne and Annabel and Johannes have got this – they're going to be best friends forever." Carrying on her tongue-in-cheek assessment, which included a lighthearted ribbing at Annabel, she added: "She's literally doing his laundry and everything and has invited him to move in."
Reeling off other partnerships on the show, the star also described Layton and Nikita's relationship, as "a really special bond" before she admitted that she and Claudia were "like the aunties just looking after everybody". Co-presenter Claudia Winkleman was also quick to give her analysis on the different dynamics and Ellie and Vito's situation.
Speaking to Fleur, she said: "I think with Ellie it's her confidence. That's sort of magic to watch."
To Tess, she asked: "Do you remember when we first came?" Tess then responded: "I don't think she knows how good she is, still."
Claudia agreed, "But she's much more confident now, he's done that for her." Giving a taste of what fans can expect this weekend as the pair take on the challenge of a couple's choice dance, Claudia revealed: "I think it's going to be tremendous. His attention to detail, their relationship, her musicality. They're going to fly."
