The Boys Spin-Off Gen V Gets Gory in New Trailer

The new trailer for the upcoming spin-off of the superhero drama series ‘The Boys’ sees a series of bloody bacchanals taking place at the superheroes-only school, Godolkin University.

AceShowbiz -Prime Video has unveiled a new look at “Gen V“, the upcoming spin-off of the superhero drama series “The Boys“. Released on Monday, July 24, the new trailer sees a series of bloody bacchanals taking place at the superheroes-only school, Godolkin University.

At the beginning of the trailer, Jaz Sinclair‘s Marie Moreau can be seen arriving at Godolkin University after growing through super foster care at Red River Institute, as shown in “The Boys” season 3. “We’ve trained the best and brightest young heroes since 1965. Godolkin is a safe space for you to thrive,” one person narrates.

A staff member at the school also convinces Marie that she could be “the first top-ranked freshman in history,” to which she corrects, “I think you meant to say first black woman in The Seven.” However, the staffer warns Marie, whose superpower is coming from her blood, that she has “a target on [her] back.”

The look at the happy university life is quickly replaced with gory, bloody scenes. “There are dangerous, evil people at that school,” someone gives a daunting warning.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Marie yells, “Everything is f**ked!” She also admits, “I exploded his d**k!”

Other characters introduced in the trailer are Patrick Schwarzenegger‘s Golden Boy, who can set his body on fire, and Lizze Broadway‘s mass-manipulator Emma Meyer. It also offers a look at Jordan Li, who is portrayed by London Thor and Derek Luh, a supe who can swap genders at will.

The students at the school are the first generation of superheroes to know that their powers come from Compound V, which their parents had injected into them as infants. “They quickly come to learn that ambition comes with sacrifice, and the difference between right and wrong is not as clear as they once believed,” the official synopsis reads. “When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become.”

“Gen V” also stars Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, Asa Germann, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi. A handful of “The Boys” alums, including Jessie T. Usher, Claudia Doumit, Colby Minifie and P.J. Byrne, will also appear.

“Gen V” is set to hit Amazon on September 29.
