The Chase fans go wild for 'absolutely stunning' contestant Fran who leaves Anne fuming 'I'm in a bad mood now' | The Sun

THE Chase fans tonight went wild when an "absolutely stunning" player called Fran appeared on the show tonight.

The super-smart player took on Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty – but just missed out on taking home the jackpot.

Assistant psychologist Fran, originally from Cheshire, wanted to bag a cash pile to throw a huge party with her cousin.

But moments into the show one viewer had proposed and another called for her to get her own series.

Several hailed her combination of good looks and quizzing skills on The Chase.

One fan tweeted: "Fran = brains and beauty – well done!"

Anne, 63, was unimpressed with her from the start, saying: "Whatever kind of psychologist you are, I'm a bad mood now."

She added with a snarl: "You're going to need therapy after I've finished with you."

Fran replied with a smile: "Well psychologists can read minds as everyone knows."

However, she and her team – which comprised Steve, Dimitra and Bob – didn't managed to outwit her in the final round.

Anne later managed some faint praise for the player after her cash builder, saying: "Fran is the closest thing we have to a weak link but she's very good as well."

Host Bradley Walsh, 62, reassured her: "I don't think you're a weak link at all.

"I think you've got knowledge now they will need in the final. Fran, good job."
