The Chase: Contestants win £20,000 in final chase
The Chase fans paid tribute to contestant Pete after watching his classic episode and finding out he had sadly died in a house fire shortly after filming.
Bradley Walsh hosted the ITV quiz show where contestants Tom, Estelle, Jessica and Pete teamed up to try to win a life-changing sum of money.
The team had to face one of the UK’s biggest brains, Paul Sinha, also known as the Sinnerman, and despite a rocky start, Jessica managed to secure a high offer of £45,000 for the team.
However, it was Pete who truly captured the audience’s attention as they quickly realised that he had died back in 2021 when the episode originally aired.
Taking to their X accounts, formerly known as Twitter, fans began to pay tribute to Pete as one person simply wrote: “RIP Pete.”
