The Chase's Bradley Walsh takes swipe at Love Island contestants – leaving player in stitches | The Sun

THE Chase's Bradley Walsh took a swipe at Love Island contestants – leaving the players in stitches.

On Thursday's show, four new quizzers joined Bradley to try and beat the Chaser and win some cash.

Neil was up first and secured a respectable £6,000 in his Cash Builder.

Bradley, 62, then teased Neil with which Chaser he would be facing in the head to head.

He said: "Who will you be taking on today? Will it be the Dark Destroyer [bare in mind] I’ve seen more hair on the chest of a Love Island contestant.”

As everyone laughed, Bradley patted himself on the back for a "very good" joke.

He continued: "Or could it be The Beast? Here’s my ITV spin-off for this show, it would be called Extra Portions.”

In the end, it turned out to be Anne Hegerty who arrived in the chair to take on Neil and fellow players Bev, Bertie and Linda.

All four made it through to the Final Chase despite a few close calls, with £19,000 up for grabs.

After they answered their set of questions, the had 17 points, and Bradley wasn't confident it would be enough against The Governess.

He told them: "I've got to say, you will need pushbacks. It's tricky."

However, Anne wasn't on her best form and stumbled over a couple of questions, giving the team the chance to have the pushbacks Bradley had mentioned.

They managed to convert a number of Anne's mistakes into pushbacks, keeping them well ahead of her and in the end, her time ran out when she was still two points behind them.

The Chase viewers couldn't help but comment, with one writing: "Jesus Anne, that was rubbish tonight."

Another added: "Anne's has had a nightmare final chase there. Neil laughing his way to the bank now!"

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1.
