Blake Shelton marks his final semi-finals as a coach
The Voice is preparing to say goodbye to one of its longest-running coaches, Blake Shelton, and he is going out with a bang with a star-studded season 23 finale.
NBC announced on Tuesday that a historic lineup of show-stopping performers and returning favourites will be on hand for next week’s two-part finale.
The hit talent competition will see Blake out with a bang as fans bid farewell to the coach who has been with the singing competition since its very first season back in 2011.
Ahead of his last set of shows, Blake took to Twitter to pay tribute to his last ever “TeamBlake” as he opened up about his feelings of it being his “LAST semi-finals”.
Speaking from behind the scenes of The Voice, the country singer began his short clip by saying: “Hey guys, I am standing here in the rehearsal room, I just finished up my rehearsals for the semi-finals for my last freaking season.”

Blake could then be seen walking around the rehearsal room as the production team applauded him for his time given to the series.
Blake then began discussing his last team, revealing: “I couldn’t be happier with my team, I’m literally going out with my dream team.
“I’m excited, I really do think we have a shot at winning this thing,” the singer added.
The clip then gave fans a glimpse of Blake coaching his team, as his remaining singers, Grace West and Novias Wright, praised him for being an amazing coach.

Blake wrote the caption: “Can’t believe it’s my LAST Semi Finals.. I couldn’t be happier with #TeamBlake!!! We’ll see y’all LIVE tonight on @nbcthevoice! Get those voting fingers ready.. #TheVoice.”
Fans flooded the comment section as they expressed their upset at having to wave goodbye to Blake when the season concludes on May 23.
One fan @HanneHansen28 wrote: “I don’t want to think about it. I simply can’t imagine the show without you but understand that you need to do something else #TeamBlake 4 ever and let’s win this season.”
Another fan @wisdomspeaks203 threatened to not watch the show after Blake’s exit, adding: “Going to miss you on the show. My husband has Already vowed not to watch after this season because you’re leaving.”
A third user @BawWhite said: “We are so sad you are going! It seems like a joke, and wish it was. I hope you come back because you made the show.
“Truly Blake, you did. I hope you find the dream you are going after and then come home to us, your public!” they added.
“It is hard to believe it’s really sad that you’re leaving The Voice,” @LindaHu76026936 claimed, with @forgwenandblake adding: “Let’s go for the 10th Blake Shelton WIN!”
While user @dellaquick said: “Although I am going greatly miss seeing you on the Voice Show., I absolutely agree and understand the idea you need time for family and to enjoy life for a while enjoy it.” (sic)
The Voice USA finale will air Tuesday, May 23 on NBC in the US.
