The Voice USA: Sister trio Sorelle wow the judges
The Voice’s first Playoff round has just wrapped up its first episode, putting Team Chance and Team Blake up against each other.
However, this season the show has introduced the Playoff Pass, which allows the coaches to not only save an artist who lost their battle, but offers them a major advantage.
The new format allows contestants to skip the knockout stage and progress straight to the knockout stage.
And with the Playoff rounds in full swing, fans have made it clear they dislike the new format as they near the final.
Viewers have claimed the judges have too much power this season, as fans do not have much of a say in who goes through to the knockout stage.

After the first Playoff episode aired this week, fans took to Twitter to vent their anger at the new format.
One viewer @HarrisonrgBob wrote: “I don’t like this new format, the playoff pass is horrible, we haven’t heard them in weeks, and they get no practice.
“The fans only get to vote on 8, that’s it…. Too much in the coaches hands, the fans don’t get to vote on much! [sic]” they added.
Another @greysdueva_17 said: “Literally BEGGING the voice to go back to their old format cuz this seasons SUCKS!!! [sic]”

A third fan @HaleyTu68161829 pointed out: “Notice how neither playoff passes went through…”
With @Kiki0S commenting: “I hate this format! 5 to 2 with just the advisors picking suuucks. Let the teams go to lives & the people vote.
“And not a couple from each team, lowest votes go home even if it takes a team out. If you don’t got it, you don’t got it [sic],” they fumed
“The new format is a disservice to the artists and the audience,” @TheRealPThomas said.
Team Blake’s NOIVAS opened the show with a soulful rendition of The Beatles’ hit song Come Together, which received much praise from coaches for his vocal agility and theatrical stage presence.
However, the strength of NOIVAS’ performance, put coach Blake Shelton in a tough situation after he was tasked with eliminating more than half his team.
Meanwhile, Sorelle, who is the only group in the show and a part of Team Chance, moved on to the next stage, after earning the love of the audience.
The next episode will show the second part of the Playoffs, pitting Team Niall and Team Kelly against each other.
The Voice airs on Mondays on NBC in the US.
