Creepy stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) is set to show his true colours to Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) in upcoming EastEnders scenes.
Theo has been secretly stalking Stacey for several months now, whilst also befriending her and her family.
However, he recently came under the suspicion of Martin Fowler (James Bye) once more, when Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) confided in him about Stacey’s stalker.
In upcoming scenes, Martin and Eve will look further into him, and find evidence that will prove he is Stacey’s stalker.
Meanwhile, Theo is determined that he can take his relationship with Stacey to the next level, despite her having pointed out on multiple occasions that she wants them to remain as friends.
‘Theo decides to celebrate his new job with Stacey and invites himself over for the evening,’ actress Lacey Turner explained. ‘Stacey genuinely thinks nothing of it because she’d already told Theo a couple of weeks ago that she saw him as a friend and she naively believed he feels the same.’
As Martin tries to get in touch with Stacey, he has no idea of the danger he may have unwittingly put her in when he texts her a warning about Theo.
With Stacey dealing with an unwell Lily (Lillia Turner), Theo intercepts her phone and finds the message.
He is infuriated, but realising that the game is up, decides to tell Stacey everything.
‘I think for Theo, he’s got all of these warped ideas in his head that ‘tonight’s the night’ for him and Stacey but that all crashes down when Eve and Martin see through him and he has to finally tell her the truth.’
Terrified Stacey has no idea what to do, as she tries to find a way to get him out of her house.
‘At first she just doesn’t believe it because she can’t imagine him to be capable of doing something like this. He’s put on such an act in front on her for months and really supported her so he’s the last person she would ever suspect.
‘It’s only when Stacey realises how deluded he is about their relationship that she starts to panic as she knows she’s in danger.’
Things take a dramatic turn when Lily’s waters break, and Stacey realises she will have to deliver the baby at home, as the ambulance is delayed.
As she heads to the kitchen to get a towel, she is confronted by Theo, who has let himself back into the house.
As he traps her inside, will she escape unharmed?
