Christmas officially arrived in the This Morning studio on Monday (November 27) as co-presenters Rochelle Humes and Craig Doyle unveiled its stunning transformation live on ITV.
Following a new jingle to the show's opening credits, former Saturdays singer Rochelle opened proceedings by declaring: "I just cannot contain my excitement – hello and welcome to a very festive This Morning." Craig added: "It's just gorgeous – a gorgeous start to the day and the This Morning elves have been busy all weekend working their magic."
The Irishman continued: "A big, big thank you to them because Christmas has arrived in the studio. It's arrived in your lives and it's arrived to your mornings and Rochelle can't contain herself!" Still beaming from ear-to-ear, Rochelle admitted: "I am like the happiest version of me – can we just do every Monday morning like this please? It is just unbelievable."

As the camera panned around the studio, Rochelle added: "Let's talk a little bit about our set because goodness me the elves have worked their magic. I'm talking on behalf now of our elves and our team – we've gone for a natural feel using berries and paper as our base, which I really love."
It prompted Craig to joke: "You're quite welling up on this – you're very emotional about Christmas!" Rochelle responded: "I just love Christmas too much."
Craig explained that the majority of the decorations were from recycled materials before revealing the "best bit" – a Father Christmas doll holding a golden pineapple perched on the show's famous sofas. "Where else would he be?" asked Rochelle in jest.
Pointing across the set to the fireplace – decorated with a nutcracker statue and a church model, Craig said: "The most Christmasey bit is that corner over there which just says 'traditional dream-like Christmas'. I just can't believe how amazing it looks – we all just came in and took a moment to drink it in."
And sharing an image of the 'elves' on screen, Craig then praised the foursome: "I guess when it came to about three in the morning they weren't smiling as much, but that's Matty, Lucy, Chris and Abbey and they have worked so, so hard."
