Holly Willoughby has awkward on-air ‘gimp’ blunder
This Morning staff are reportedly “furious” they have not been given an invite to the National Television Awards.
However, it’s reported on-screen talent including Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond will be front and centre.
A TV source said This Morning is “slimming down” the number of attendees on what would be a big night out for the whole team.
Instead, the crew who work behind-the-scenes will have to watch the awards from home as Holly, Alison and Dermot O’Leary party at London’s O2 Arena.
The source told The Sun: “People are upset at the slimming down as the show is such a group effort and the awards are usually a big night out for the whole team.

“It doesn’t help with shutting down rumours of a toxic atmosphere.
“Some people suspect that bosses know it isn’t going to be a stellar year for This Morning after all the scandal and they know they may not win.”
Express.co.uk has contacted ITV for comment.
This Morning is up against Loose Women, The Chase and The Repair Shop for the Best Daytime Show at this year’s awards.

Usually the magazine show cleans up at the awards with Holly and ex co-star Phillip Schofield showing up still dressed for the awards the next day.
However, after Phillip’s exit earlier in the year, it’s believes This Morning’s chances of winning have been greatly reduced.
After hosting This Morning for 21 years, Phillip stepped down as he admitted to having an affair with a younger male colleague.
From Monday, Holly will be the main host for This Morning with support from Alison, Dermot and Craig Doyle.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV from 10am.
