Tipping Point contestant branded ‘unlucky’ after awkward ITV experience

Tipping Point viewers branded one player "unlucky" after he failed to make it through to the final stages of the show.

Liverpool native Bob joined host Ben Shepherd as a competitor on Thursday (June 30) alongside two other hopeful contestants as he began his bid to win the jackpot prize.

The retired engineer managed to make it through round one of the hit ITV gameshow despite banking just £100 thanks to his fellow contestant Robin getting absolutely nothing at all.

Viewers couldn't believe Bob's bad luck as he repeatedly failed to hit the target throughout the subsequent round, with him regularly hitting the buzzer at the wrong time or picking the wrong drop zones to place his counters in.

Feeling sympathy for him viewers then took to Twitter to discuss Bob's gameplay as he struggled to bag himself more cash and a chance at entering the final round.

One viewer wrote: "Bob’s timing was shocking."

Another posted: "Oh Bob…"

A third Tipping Point fan said: "Bye Bob. See you soon Bob. Unlucky Bob."

A fourth social media user tweeted: "Poor Bob. His head must be heavy."

A fifth added: "Chin up Bob, you can go home now."

Sadly for Bob, he didn't manage to get enough counters out of the machine to progress and his game ended in round two when his counters failed to deliver the needed amount of cash to keep him in the game.

He only managed to scrape minimal drops with his counters falling short of the push needed, or creating a mediocre impact for what he could manage to bank.

Meanwhile, host Ben recently admitted that his wife Annie gets jealous of his relationship with his mum because she spoils him.

Speaking from the Good Morning Britain sofa he said: “My wife with my boys does look after them and spoils them and does everything for them and my mum probably does that for me.”

Ben added: “I know Annie gets annoyed about my mum and my relationship and me being spoiled my mum and I can see it with her and our boys.”

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
