THE boss of Vera has given a bleak update on the 'missing' series 11 episodes – as fans fury rages on.
The popular ITV drama, fronted by legendary actress Brenda Blethyn, was last on screens in January following a series of filming delays as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The eleventh series of Vera has been on a wild ride for ITV, with the first two episodes debuting in 2021 before the next two aired in January.
But fans were left disappointed when the final two episodes of the series were replaced with another drama, The Good Karma Hospital.
Despite the show appearing to go AWOL from TV listings, Vera bosses confirmed to Express.co.uk that the popular drama is currently filming the final two episodes.
A spokesperson for the programme revealed that alongside the final episodes of the eleventh series, the twelfth series was also in production and the series would be aired concurrently on ITV next year.
