Wendy Blissett (Jennifer Armour) met a tragic end in Hollyoaks on Monday (June 20), after she was allegedly involved in a road traffic ‘accident’.
We use the term ‘accident’ lightly, given that the circumstances surrounding her demise are suspicious.
The schemer, as viewers know, has been working with evil dad Silas (Jeff Rawle), and was intent on kidnapping Bobby Costello (Jayden Fox) and taking him to America.
Her plan, however, backfired, after Bobby himself called Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe), pleading with her to help him escape Wendy’s grasp ahead of their trip.
Mercedes came to her son’s rescue on Friday (June 17), kidnapping Wendy and taking her to a remote location, where she proceeded to have it out with her, demanding that she stay away from Bobby.
Wendy broke down, revealing that she’s spent her entire life playing second fiddle to Mercedes, who her dad is obsessed with, but promised that she would make things right from this moment onwards.
That is, if Mercedes allowed her to say goodbye to Bobby. Mercedes ultimately did just that, but Wendy had one last trick up her sleeve, as she whispered in Bobby’s ear, telling him that they could still make their flight.
Mercedes, however, copped sight of a mysterious man standing nearby, and realising Wendy was up to no good, she pulled Bobby away from her, ordering him inside.
Wendy, having failed Silas, was dragged by the mystery man into a black car, and taken away against her will.
Mercedes later received a visit from policeman Saul Reeves (Chris Charles), who informed her that Wendy had been killed in a road traffic accident.
What’s more, the death is being considered as suspicious, which means that Mercedes is a suspect, given her and Wendy’s previous altercation.
Did Silas murder Wendy for failing to get Bobby? It certainly seems that way!
Will Mercedes go down for the crime?
