Emmerdale: Eric Pollard and Brenda Walker kiss
Where the Heart Is ran for 10 series and followed the lives of a group of district nurses and their families who reside in the town of Skelthwaite.
Since the show came to an end, some of the stars have gone on to be household names in TV with many of them popping in and out of soaps such as Emmerdale and Coronation Street over the years.
Express.co.uk has taken a look at where the cast are now.
Lesley Dunlop
Lesley played Anna Kirkwall in the ITV series with her character being one of the programme’s best-known.
As the drama came to an end, Lesley moved on to BBC soap Casualty for one episode as Angela Hartshorne and two episodes of Silent Witness.
However, her most prominent role is undoubtedly as Brenda Walker in the ITV soap Emmerdale.
Lesley is married to Emmerdale co-star Chris Chittell who plays Eric Pollard and starred alongside him in many scenes.

Christian Cooke
Christian played youngster Luke Kirkwall and has since gone on to star in some major films with key roles.
He starred alongside Damian Lewis in 2013’s version of Romeo and Juliet while he also appeared in Cemetery Junction, directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
Christian has also gone on to star in hit TV shows such as The Royal, Doctor Who, Echo Beach and Doctors.
Sarah Lancashire
Before becoming a national treasure for her compelling and brilliant role in Happy Valley, Sarah starred as Ruth Goddard in Where The Heart Is between 1997 and 1999.
Her role as Catherine Cawood has been applauded over the three seasons of the BBC series, performing some hard-hitting scenes alongside actor James Norton.
Sarah has also starred in series such as The Accident, The Last Tango in Halifax, Kiri and the film Yesterday which looked at a world where The Beatles didn’t exist.
She also had a recurring role as Raquel Watts/Wolstenhulme and Wendy Farmer in Coronation Street between 1987 and 2000.

Jason Done
Jason starred as Stephen Snow between 1999 and 2001 and when he left the BBC series he was most known for his role as Tom Clarkson in BBC school drama Waterloo Road, between 2006 and 2013.
He has also featured in dramas Vera, Four Lives, Time, Suspect and Casualty.
Earlier in his career, Jason featured in The English Patient, released in 1996, alongside Harry Potter star Ralph Fiennes, Love Actually Star Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas.
Jessica Baglow
After playing Lucy Snow until 2002, Jessica has played a variety of roles in many different genres of TV and film.
She appeared in Emmerdale as Emma Fairbank, before moving to play Karla Bentham in Waterloo Road.
Fans of the BBC series Gentleman Jack will know Jessica as Hemmingway in the programme which also stars Suranne Jones.
Tony Haygarth
Tony’s character Vic Snow was arguably one of the most recognisable and notorious of the series.
He featured in the show from 1997 through to 2002 before moving on to take on the roles of some other favourite characters.
Tony starred in shows such as in The Royal, Casualty, New Tricks and Wild At Heart amongst others, also having a stint as a villager in Emmerdale.
He also voiced Mr Tweedy in the 2000 animated film Chicken Run, but sadly died in 2017 at the age of 72.
