DURAN Duran addressed Andy Taylor's absence during the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony in LA on Saturday, November 5.
The band's guitarist was forced to miss the event due to ongoing treatment for stage four cancer.
Who is Andy Taylor?
Andrew Arthur Taylor is an English musician, singer, and songwriter.
Born on February 16, 1961, he is best known as a former Duran Duran and the Power Station member.
Taylor joined Duran Duran as a guitarist in 1980, two years after they formed.
He and Duran Duran bassist John Taylor also joined with former Chic members Tony Thompson and Robert Palmer to form the band Power Station in 1985.
Taylor left Duran Duran before the recording of their fourth album, Notorius in 1986, but returned for a reunion in 2001.
The group became one of the dominant bands in the industry with songs including Skin Trade, Rio, Come Undone, Wild Boys and James Bond theme A View To A Kill.

Their 2004 album Astronaut, reached number three in the UK album charts.
Taylor left the band again in 2006 and embarked on a solo career, recording the hit single Take It Easy.
What type of cancer does he have?
Taylor was due to reunite with his former Duran Duran bandmates during a ceremony on November 5, 2022.
However, frontman Simon Le Bon revealed that Taylor had suffered a setback which would not allow him to travel.
During an acceptance speech, Simon delivered an open letter from Taylor, which read: "Just over four years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer.
"Many families have experienced the slow burn of this disease and of course, we are no different; so I speak from the perspective of a family man but with profound humility to the band, the greatest fans a group could have and this exceptional accolade.
"I have the 'Rodgers and Edwards' of doctors and medical treatment that until very recently allowed me to just rock on.
"Although my current condition is not immediately life-threatening, there is no cure."

Prostate cancer affects one in eight men in the UK in their lifetime.
The prostate is a small, walnut-sized gland, that only men have.
The causes of the cancer are largely unknown, the NHS says.
Treatment includes surgically removing the prostate, radiotherapy, and hormone therapy.
If the disease has already spread, it cannot be treated, and medical help is focused on prolonging life and relieving symptoms.
Currently, 11,500 men a year are killed by the cancer, which is one victim every 45 minutes in the UK.
