A hearing heard how Wanless was out of work and in need of money when she asked Ms Brown, the aunt of her then-bouncer boyfriend Andrew Flavell, to lend her the £3,100.
The couple asked Ms Brown for the cash, in part to help with rent they owed on a flat they shared in Tenerife, but it was never repaid.
A judge ordered Wanless to pay out the money.
Following the case, Wanless claimed she was "sofa surfing" with friends because no landlord trusted her.
She told Chronicle Live: "People think that I'm going to rip them off but I've never done such a thing and I've never even lent any money off people before."
