However, in 2022 she shocked Love Island fans when she announced that she was quitting the show.
Who is Laura Whitmore?
Born on May 4, 1985, Laura Whitmore, 37, is a TV presenter and model from Dublin.
Her presenting career kicked off on MTV back in 2008.
After this she managed to switch to ITV, and the presenting jobs have rolled in – which included landing the coveted Love Island hosting gig.

Why did Laura Whitmore quit Love Island?
Laura took over the job of Love Island host from the late Caroline Flack, when the show aired in South Africa in January 2020.
She then hosted seasons 7 and 8 of the hit ITV2 show.
But on August 22, 2022 Laura announced she was stepping down for role due to "conflicting projects".
Taking to Instagram she wrote: "Some news! I won’t be hosting the next series of Love Island.
"There are certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format, including the flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects.
"I wish it was still possible but know you’ll be in safe hands.
"I was only planning to fill in for Caroline for a series and it turned into 3 series.
"I hope I did you proud Caroline"
When did Laura marry Iain Stirling and do they have kids?
Laura got with Love Island narrator Iain Stirling back in July 2017, and by June 2018 the couple had moved in together.
Comedian Iain proposed to the Irish TV host in South Africa in April 2020 with a yellow diamond ring he had designed.
A friend told The Sun at the time: “They couldn’t be happier. We’re thrilled for them.
"He’d obviously thought about it for a while, as he designed the ring and yellow’s her favourite colour."
They then went onto wed that same year, in her native Ireland.
The happy couple welcomed their daughter Stevie Ré in March 2021.
