MATT Lucas is one of Britain best-loved comedians, having appeared in a number of successful comedies over the last thirty years.

Who is Matt Lucas?
Matt Lucas, 48, is an English comedian, screenwriter, actor and singer from London.
He studied at the Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School in Hertfordshire which was also attended by fellow comedians David Baddiel and Sacha Baron Cohen.
The star suffers from alopecia Universalis, the most severe form of alopecia that leads to total hair loss on the scalp and body – his late father also lost his hair at a young age, when he was 13.
Lucas's big break came in 1995, when he was cast as scorekeeping baby George Dawes in the comedy panel show Shooting Stars, hosted by Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer.
What has the Little Britain actor starred in?
Lucas is best known for his work with David Walliams, with the pair first appearing together on screen in Little Britain, which ran from 2003 to 2006.
He worked with Walliams again on the mockumentary Come Fly With Me from 2010 to 2011.
He has been in many big blockbuster films including playing both Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee in Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland and its sequel, Alice Through The Looking Glass.

In the US comedy Bridesmaids, Matt played Rebel Wilson's flatmate Gil – the pair struck up a good friendship and went on to be housemates in real life.
Matt also played Mr Toad in a BBC adaptation of The Wind In The Willows and Nardole in the tenth series of Doctor Who, along with voicing roles in Sherlock Gnomes, Missing Link and The Queen's Corgi.
In 2020, Lucas replaced Sandi Toksvig as host of The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4, presenting alongside Noel Fielding.
In 2022, he announced he was leaving the show to focus on other projects.
Also in 2022, Lucas was announced as host of Sky Max show Fantasy Football League, a reboot of the programme made famous by Frank Skinner and David Baddiel.
Lucas presents the show alongside Welsh comedian Elis James.

What is Matt Lucas' net worth?
Matt has a reported net worth of just over £12 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
This has been achieved through his wide range of TV and film roles.
He has also starred on the West End stage in Taboo and Les Misérables and the comedy play Prick Up Your ears.

Does Matt Lucas have a partner?
The Little Britain star was formerly in a civil partnership with Kevin McGee before splitting in 2008.
Tragically, McGee took his own life the following year.
But despite a number of rumoured lovers and even using dating apps, Lucas is thought to be currently single.
