Peter Beale (Thomas Law) has made an explosive EastEnders comeback as part of Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins)’ dramatic return to Albert Square.
The character, who had been living in France with Cindy and Ian (Adam Woodyatt) as Cindy’s witness protection came to an end, went back to Walford after learning about sisters Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford) – Cindy’s daughters from her relationship with George Knight (Colin Salmon).
That sparked off a chain of events which saw Cindy return to Walford, reuniting unexpectedly with George and discovering her daughters were in the pub – with viewers on the edge of their seats as they finally came face to face.
The storyline represents a comeback for Peter – one of Cindy’s six children – after he left Walford in the wake of a family feud in July 2022 – taking all of his grandmother Kathy (Gillian Taylforth)’s money with him.
The character has been a stalwart of the square over the past few decades, and has been played by several different actors along the way as Peter has grown older.
But just how old is the character now – and who is currently playing him?
How old is Peter Beale?
Peter is currently 29 years old.
The character was born, along with twin sister Lucy, on December 9 1993, with the birth happening offscreen.
Peter was named after Ian’s father Peter Beale (Peter Dean) who was killed in a car accident on the day he was born.
The character initially appeared in the show from 1993 until 1996, when Cindy – who had hired a hitman to kill Ian – fled to Italy with Peter and her other son Steven to try and escape justice.
