X Factor’s Wagner claims Kremlin has apologised for death threats after being confused with Russian mercenaries | The Sun

X FACTOR star Wagner says Russia apologised after he received death threats from people thinking he was part of the mercenary group.

He also revealed he can “stop s***ing myself” now its leader Yevgeny Prigozhin has been reportedly killed in a plane crash.

The Brazil-born bongo basher, sixth on the X Factor in 2010, claimed he was targeted after Wagner’s coup bid in June.

He said: “I’ve had death threats from Russia in the form of emails and in WhatsApp messages telling me my troops are going to be assassinated and castrated.

"I noticed changes on my phone and other devices and I thought maybe it was the Kremlin hacking me.”

Vladimir Putin issued an apology to the family of warlord Prigozhin, and Wagner said he got one too after reporting the threats to the British embassy in Brazil.

He went on: “I got these messages from the Russians that they have called off their dogs.”

He added: “Quite frankly, I can stop sing myself about being assassinated.”
