Yolande and Patrick are couple goals as they dance together in EastEnders

Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) recently returned to EastEnders after being thrown out of her home in Birmingham by partner Anton.

She had hoped that her return would be the beginning of a new start for her and lover Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker), though he was reluctant to let her stay with him.

Hurt, Yolande headed for the tube station, just as Patrick realised that he did want them to have a future together.

After keeping him in suspense, Yolande joined Patrick in the Queen Vic for a drink, as their reconciliation began.

As they sat together, Patrick pointed out that they needed to talk, though Yolande revealed that there was somewhere she wanted to go first.

She led a curious Patrick to the launderette, where she revealed that she never got a chance to say goodbye to the late Dot Cotton, and she wanted to do so before she left.

Alone in the launderette, Patrick and Yolande took a trip down memory lane as they recalled their time together in Birmingham before Patrick’s return to Walford several weeks ago.

Yolande explained that while she had enjoyed their ‘fling’, she wasn’t sure whether or not she could trust him with her heart again.

Patrick responded by pointing out that they’d both made mistakes, and she had broken his heart too, and that they needed to learn to trust each other again.

With a smile, he took her further back in time as he recalled the first time he’d seen her in Trinidad.

He then recognised that asking her to move back to Albert Square and leave life in Birmingham behind was a lot, which Yolande agreed with, adding that it would be an even bigger sacrifice if things didn’t work out between them.

As Patrick longed for them to make more memories together, Yolande admitted that the conversation was making her head spin.

Instead of talking, Patrick decided to put on some music, and it clearly worked, as Yolande resolved to stay in Walford.

Thrilled, Patrick invited her to dance, celebrating their new beginning.
