CBS’s Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon has finished filming its sixth season, following speculation that season seven would be its last. Ahead of production coming to an end, Raegan Revord paid tribute to her “loving and supportive cast” in a sweet social media post.

One of Young Sheldon’s key characters Missy Cooper took to social media this week to update her 562k Instagram followers on season six’s production.

The actress shared a handful of behind-the-scenes snaps and clips from the set of Young Sheldon.

One sweet pic saw her posing with her on-screen brothers Ian Armitage, who stars as Sheldon Cooper, and Montana Jordan who plays George Cooper.

Another snap saw Revord in hair and make-up as stylists painted orange into her hair, seemingly preparing her for one of the scenes.

Along with the behind-the-scenes snaps, the actress revealed that the cast had finished filming the upcoming sixth season.

She wrote: “That’s a wrap on season 6 [celebration emoji]”.

She added some touching words for her co-stars, saying: “Even after all this time I can’t believe I get to be a part of this incredible show surrounded by the most loving and supportive cast and crew!”

But that wasn’t all, as the star dropped another bombshell revealing: “See you this summer for season 7!”

Fans were quick to congratulate Revord on her role during Young Sheldon’s sixth season.

One fan @bigbobbo64 said: “NOBODY could have played Missy better @raeganrevord”.

With @stevewoods9112nothacked agreeing: “Love your character, she has really come into her own”.

@333bellamia commented: “Absolutely love you and your perfectly cast show! Always enjoy every episode!!”

But despite Revord’s filming updates, it seemed some fans had more questions than answers.

@Micahnhayes asked: “Renewed for two seasons or just 1 more?”

With another @lilythompson1232023 probing: “Will season seven be the end of young Sheldon Raegan?”

The reason fans appear to be worried about the future of Young Sheldon is due to recent reports hinting that season seven would mark the end of the sitcom.

Assuming the prequel’s narrative follows The Big Bang Theory’s timeline, Sheldon will turn 14 during season seven.

This was the age when Sheldon moved to Pasadena, California to begin his graduate studies at CalTech University.

Executive producer Steve Holland explained to TVLine earlier this month: “It’s not my decision to make. I don’t think we’ll know for a while, but I don’t think it will affect the first half of [season 7].

“I think it will play out the same either way. But as we get near the end, I think it will play out differently depending on whether this is, or is not, the final season.”

Season 6 resumes on CBS Thursday March 30 in the US. Alternatively, Young Sheldon is available to stream on Netflix in the UK.
