Billingham incident: Cops 'close street' after explosives found' as cops arrest three | The Sun

A STREET is reportedly closed off after explosives were found at a quiet UK street.

Cleveland Police were called to Collingwood Road, Billingham, after a "domestic incident" about 11pm last night.

And officers then found a number of "suspicious items".

Specialist officers and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) experts, were called and currently remain at the scene while investigations continue.

Three people have been arrested and they currently remain in police custody.

One resident who asked not to be named said the incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning.

They said: "There were loads of police and CSI in white suits. They told us explosives were found.

"Everyone on the street were woken up by police."

A police cordon remains in place and officers will be in the area throughout the course of the investigation.
