Body of model, 28, found dismembered in fridge as cops uncover meat grinders, chainsaws & masks in home | The Sun

THE body of a young model has been found brutally dismembered with parts left in a refrigerator at a rented home.

Abby Choi, 28, was an up-and-coming model from Hong Kong who had graced a magazine cover in Monaco only this month.

Police made the horrific discovery in a house in the village of Lung Mei, a beachside village around a half-hour drive from the city centre.

After they broke into a house being rented by her ex-father-in-law on Friday afternoon, cops discovered two legs in the refrigerator, as well as the victim's ID card, credit cards, and other belongings, Police Superintendant Alan Chung said.

Human tissue was found in pots of soup, while the victim's head, torso, and hands were not at the scene.

He went on: "Police also have found that the flat was arranged by cold-blooded killers meticulously.

"Tools that are used to dismember human bodies were found in the flat, including meat grinders, chainsaws, long raincoats, gloves, and masks."

Chung said that the house had been rented by Abby's former father-in-law just a few weeks ago.

Cops arrested three of the model's former in-laws while they continue to search for her ex-husband.

Police said only that the woman was a 28-year-old model with the surname "Choi", but she has since been identified by South China Morning Post as Abby.

Sources say the model, who appeared on the cover of fashion magazine L'Officiel Monaco this month, was last seen alive on Tuesday in Tai Po, a short drive from the house where her remains were found.

Cops began the search for her on Thursday.

Chung said that authorities believe the young woman had financial disputes with her ex-husband and his family totalling 100 million Hong Kong dollars (£10.7m).

He added that "some people" were reportedly unhappy with how Choi handled her financial assets.

A city-wide manhunt has been launched for Abby's ex-husband.

The news has been greeted with horror in Hong Kong.

Only last week, Abby had shared a picture of her magazine cover with her almost 90,000 Instagram followers.

She wrote: "From Hong Kong to the cover of L'Official Monaco, my journey as a style icon continues.
