Boy, 17, and man, 19, killed in horror crash with two left fighting for life | The Sun

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy and a man, 19, have been killed in a horror two-car crash that left two people fighting for life.

Officers pronounced a 17 and 19-year-old dead at the scene, in Southwell Road, Gonalston, Nottingham on Thursday.

The fatal crash happened around 10.45pm and two other people were rushed to Queen's Medical Centre with potentially life-threatening injuries.

Case investigator Louise Melbourne, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the family and friends of everyone involved.

“Our specialist trained officers are working to offer families support at this incredibly sad time.

"Enquiries are continuing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any dash-cam footage that may be helpful to the investigation, to get in touch as soon as possible."

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police said: "The A612 Southwell Road was closed between its junctions with Gonalston Road, Gonalston, and Beck Street, Thurgarton, while emergency services dealt with the incident."

A fifth person also suffered injuries but they are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road remained closed for several hours before reopening.
